FX has officially given life to Very Young Frankenstein by handing out a pilot order and casting six actors in the comedy series, which is inspired by the Mel Brooks classic Young Frankenstein. The spin-off show was reported to be in the works back in June, but it is now moving forward with a star-studded ensemble led by Zach Galifianakis. Details on who he will be playing are being kept under wraps for now, but, given his comedic chops, there is a chance he will take on a main role, such as Dr. Frederick Frankenstein (or “Fronk-en-steen” to us), who was portrayed by the enigmatic Gene Wilder in the original 1974 comedy horror film.
