David Beckham was finally honored with his knighthood today (November 4), accompanied by his wife Victoria, his parents, and three of his children, who attended to celebrate the momentous occasion.
A body language expert has revealed insights into Victoria Beckham’s emotions as her husband received the prestigious honor during a ceremony at Windsor Castle today.
In an exclusive interview with Express Online, Judi James examined Victoria’s body language and observed the exchange between King Charles and David.
She noted: “Despite the formality of the ritual, Beckham and the King’s body language made this look like an intimate and friendly occasion.
“The two men are known to behave like old friends when they meet up in public, and Charles kept David chatting for a rather long time here, appearing to be the one keen to do the talking and to smile and chuckle as though enjoying himself.”
Back in 2003, he was awarded an OBE by the late Queen Elizabeth II for his achievements in football.
The former England captain has an extensive track record of philanthropic endeavors, which Honours Committee officials will have taken into account before deciding to grant him the distinction.
Victoria posted on Instagram after the announcement was made earlier this year: “You’ve always been my knight in shining armour, but now it’s official.
“Sir @davidbeckham!!! What an honour, I couldn’t be prouder of you. Your dedication to the things that matter most – your country, your work, your passion, and most of all, your family – has never wavered.
“The way you’ve touched so many lives over the years with kindness and humility speaks volumes about the man you are and continues to inspire us everyday.
“But above all else, I’m so, so proud to call you mine. I love you so much xxxx”.
