Viola Davis is celebrating her 60th birthday in style! While we’ve seen a lot of celebratory swimsuit photos, Davis took it a step further with a colorful matching moment!
In photos obtained by E! Online from Aug. 11, we can see the How to Get Away with Murder star looking stunning as she celebrated her 60th birthday at Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. We see her looking stunning as she rocks a red one-piece that hugs her curves beautifully, as well as wowing in matching red hair! (To be fair, she’s had the red hair on and off since May 2025 when she twinned with her daughter Genesis at the 14th Annual City Year Los Angeles Spring Break Gala!)

We also see the legendary actress lounging on her birthday vacay, looking like a glowy goddess, and an accessorizing master with the large gold hoop earrings! She’s literally glowing as she celebrates the big 6-0, and we’re obsessed with this matching moment.

While Davis has always been a pillar of grace and confidence, it wasn’t always that way; and now, she’s all about embracing who she really is. In a previous interview with Elle, the Oscar-winning actress talked about embracing her beauty.
“It’s embracing all of the cultural attributes that are in your faith, in your voice, in your mannerisms, in your past, and what makes you different from everyone else. It’s also making peace with the parts of you that are strong, confident, but also vulnerable and the parts of you that sometimes need help. It’s all of it. It’s embracing fully, absolutely, who you are,” she said. “I wish I knew that who and what I am was enough—that who I am is just perfect.”
