BUFFALO, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — A viral moment from a Jonas Brothers concert in Buffalo is taking the internet by storm, and it turns out the story has a Central New York connection.
It all started when someone in the crowd was caught on camera reviewing a resume for “Scott Kelly” during the show. A TikTok video telling Kelly about it has now hit more than 51 million views, even drawing playful comments from the Jonas Brothers themselves, along with brands like Old Navy and Kleenex.
The story went even further last night when the Jonas Brothers were surprised with the real Scott Kelly, Thursday night, on Jimmy Fallon.
Here’s the local tie. Scott Kelly’s LinkedIn shows that he’s based in Syracuse. He’s a U.S. Army veteran, and said the man seen reading his resume served in the same infantry battalion at Fort Drum.
As for the job? Kelly said he never actually applied for a job. He’s currently working on a special project to help other veterans who are transitioning out of military service.
