Who is Vivian Wilson?
Vivian Jenna Wilson is a social media personality and model. Among other houses, she has walked for Gucci, Dauphinette, Prabal Gurung, and Chrishabana. In an interview with Teen Vogue, she called herself the “Queen of Threads [a competitor to X, formerly Twitter].” As of the time of this post, she has over 700,000 followers on Threads, 1.1 million followers on Instagram, and 2 million followers on TikTok.

At the Teen Vogue Summit, she said she had begun transitioning medically in 2020, when she was 16. Per AP, she officially requested to change her name and gender in 2022, which a California judge approved. Online, Wilson is a very outspoken proponent of trans issues.
Why is she estranged from Elon Musk?
Wilson has often spoken out against Musk and his views on trans rights and called Musk a “pathetic man-child” in an interview with Teen Vogue.
In a July 2024 post on X by Musk, he deadnamed Wilson and called her a “gay and slightly autistic” child who loved musicals and theatre. In a response post on Threads, she criticized Musk’s post for being a fake attempt to mischaracterize her using outdated gay stereotypes. In that same thread, she noted that Musk was barely present in her childhood, and “in the little time that he was [present,] I was relentlessly harassed for my femininity and queerness.”
Per the AP, in her petition to change her name and gender in 2022, she wrote, “I no longer live with or wish to be related to my biological father in any way, shape or form.” She is financially independent from her father, per Teen Vogue.
Where does Vivian Wilson live?
Wilson is a Los Angeles native. Per The Cut, she briefly attended the Temple University Tokyo campus to practice her Japanese but dropped out after a year and a half. She currently resides in Los Angeles.
