Florida-based metalcore outfit Wage War are back with a new track to hit you in the sack. Oh and they’re going to be headlining a U.S. tour this spring, so buckle up.
We’ll start with the new track titled “Song of the Swamp”, which was launched yesterday for their newly announced EP It Calls Me By Name, which will be released on April 17. Its accompanying music video, which you can check out below, was shot by Errick Easterday.
Speaking about the EP, the band said it’s “meant to live in its own world.”
“It Calls Me By Name‘ is about being drawn to your roots. This isn’t a concept EP but is meant to live in its own world. Five tracks shaped by Florida, the swamp, and the relentless aggression of nature. Built heavy, but still driven by the hooks that have defined us. It’s our signature sound amplified and pushed further into metal than we’ve ever taken it.”
As for the tour, that whole thing will run from April 28 in Phoenix, Arizona until May 31 in St. Petersburg, Florida. Along the way, they’ll make stops at Chicago, Baltimore, and Atlanta, just to name a few. Coming along with them will be supporting bands Nevertel and Orthodox.
