EXCLUSIVE: U.S. financier-producer Wagner Entertainment is growing its ranks with the hire of former Arclight Films executive Ryan Hamilton as Head of Worldwide Sales and former Killer Films creative exec Amanda Larney as Head of Development.
The company will handle sales on select in-house and third party titles but will also work with third party sellers. The company expects to have projects to sell at the Cannes market.
Hamilton joins Wagner Entertainment after recently producing the survival thriller Zipline, sold by Black Bear. Prior to that, he spent more than a decade at Arclight Films, where he oversaw production, sales, and financing. He worked on movies including A24’s First Reformed; fellow Paul Schrader title Oh, Canada; Dog Eat Dog, with Nicolas Cage and Willem Dafoe; and Hotel Mumbai, starring Dev Patel and Jason Isaacs.
Larney, formerly a junior creative exec at Killer Films and assistant at CAA, joins the company following their collaboration on upcoming Madelaine Petsch and Ashley Benson film Pretty Babies, which Wagner produced in partnership with Killer Films.
In her new role, she will oversee development across the company’s slate, “guiding projects from early material through greenlight and into production and post, while helping shape Wagner Entertainment’s creative identity”.
As we first revealed, Wagner Entertainment recently signed a three-picture deal with Killer Fims. The company backed recently released film F*uck Valentine’s Day with Marisa Tomei and continues to be in post on challenged thriller Lone Wolf with Bryan Cranston. Jordan Wagner’s own credits as exec producer include Flight Risk and Hypnotic.
Founder and CEO Wagner commented: “Ryan and I have worked together for years, and I’ve always respected his judgment and market insight. As we continue to grow as a production and finance company, I’m excited about this next chapter and the role Ryan will play in how our projects are partnered and aligned in the marketplace.”

We had such a great experience working together on Pretty Babies, and bringing her onto the team felt like a natural transition, especially with Killer Films continuing as an important creative partner on our slate.”
