Actor Morris Chestnut got some soap fans in their feels the other day with one simple question.
The Watsonstar used social media to ask a question while also highlighting a beloved daytime drama. Chestnut shared a video of himself reacting to a song that had fans reminiscing about the good old days.
“Everyone born between 1969-1995 has some emotional connection to this song,” was written on the footage as the theme song from The Young and the Restless played in the background.
Chestnut used the caption to ask soap fans a question. “Who else grew up watching this with their mom and grandma?” he wondered.
The Young and the Restless fans and stars flooded the comments with responses.
“Yes!!! 🙌🏼 😂,” replied The Young and the Restless star Melissa Ordway (Abby). Y&R’sMichelle Stafford (Phyllis) responded with clapping emojis.
General Hospital star Daniel Goddard, who also appeared on The Young and the Restless, chimed in to say, “When my son was little he would stop what he was doing and walk in the room when it came on! It’s hypnotic.”
“Oh wow!!!! This sure does bring back memories!!!” declared a fan, as another spilled, “Oh my goodness! My grandma’s couch right after kindergarten 😭.”
A fan expressed, “Especially on a sick day from school 😩.. that and the price is right !!” The legendary Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) was mentioned multiple times.
“Victor Newman is still HIM all these years later 😂,” stated one fan, with another adding, “The wild thing is my mom still watches it and VICTOR is still there!!! Like this show has been on my entire life it’s wild.”
Another fan replied, “The Young & the Restless 😂😂😂 I swear Victor Newman don’t age at all!.” “Victor Newman is 187 years old and is STILL the man!” insisted a fan, while a different fan wrote, “Victor and Nikki Newman are a part of all our families.”

Other fans mentioned how back in the day soaps were called stories. “And they are called Stories!” said a fan, as another noted, “You mean the “stories”? Don’t bother my grandmother when her stories were on.”
“I think of my grandmother every time I hear this you did not talk to her while she was watching her stories😂😂😂😂😂,” someone else joked.
