Weekend events offer diverse entertainment across Suncoast

SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) – Several weekend events across the Tampa Bay area offer entertainment options ranging from cultural festivals to holiday celebrations.

The Living Arts Festival runs through Sunday in Sarasota, featuring diverse performances, visual arts, family events, and live music. The festival continues Friday from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., resumes Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and concludes Sunday from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on North Palm Avenue.

The 19th annual Hungarian Festival takes place Saturday and Sunday, offering live music and authentic Hungarian food along with a Kids Corner, games, and rides.

Saturday hours run from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., while Sunday events continue from noon to 8 p.m. at 3000 Ringling Boulevard.

The Florida Inline Skating Marathon celebrates its fifth anniversary Saturday, beginning at 8 a.m. The 25k and 13k races start at 9:30 a.m.

UTC Mall hosts Santa’s Grand Arrival Parade and After Party Concert featuring the band We the Kings on Saturday. Pre-parade activities begin at 4 p.m. with a performance by No Filter, followed by a Veterans Tribute at 5:45 p.m. and tree lighting at 6 p.m. The parade starts at 6:30 p.m., with fireworks at 7:30 p.m. and the We the Kings concert at 8 p.m.

Weather conditions are expected to be favorable for outdoor activities, with mostly sunny skies and temperatures reaching near 80 degrees on Saturday. Sunday brings a 20 to 30 percent chance of rain.
