LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) — Residents looking for something to do this weekend will have plenty of options as several community events take place across Lima.
The weekend begins Thursday with Downtown Lima Inc.’s Third Thursday celebration. The event will feature live entertainment at five locations, $5 menu specials at participating businesses, the Lima Farmers Market, the first of several lantern tours and a variety of other activities in the city’s downtown district.
The festivities continue Friday at the Greater Lima Region Park and Amphitheater with Park After Dark Movie Night. As part of the community’s America 250 celebration, Red, White and Movie Night will feature a showing of National Treasure. Concessions will be available for purchase, with proceeds benefiting the movie night series.
On Saturday, the Lima Allen County Neighborhoods in Partnership will host a fish fry and car wash fundraiser from noon to 4 p.m. at its office, located at 1440 W. Spring St. Community members are invited to attend and support the organization’s neighborhood initiatives.
