BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — “Weird Al” Yankovic, a musician best known for his humorous ribbing of musical trends through parody, will be coming to Birmingham next fall.
Yankovic, who came up in the 80s with satire on everyone from Michael Jackson to Coolio and even hosted his own TV show, “Al TV,” at different periods, will be performing at the Coca-Cola Amphitheater in downtown Birmingham October 2, 2026.
Yankovic, whose real name is Alfred Matthew, has released 14 albums, the last being “Mandatory Fun” in 2014. In addition to his music, he has had the distinction of appearing as himself in every “Naked Gun” movie for the last 30 years, as well as being the subject of a mock-biopic “Weird: The Al Yankovic Story.”
Pres-sale will go live at 10 a.m. Tuesday while general tickets will go on sale on Friday.
