The security for Taylor Swift’s wedding was tight. It took place at Madison Square Garden, so no one got a good look at what was happening inside. We also haven’t seen any clear pictures of what the bride and groom looked like, or any of the major milestones. So, how did the couple manage to invite over a thousand people without anything leaking? Was it just guests reportedly signing NDAs?
According to TMZ, in addition to surrendering their phones upon entry, the guests were also scanned for Meta smart glasses and any other potential recording devices. In fact, even the New York Police Department officers who were on duty at the venue were forced to give up their phones for the shift.

The Daily Mail reported that Madison Square Garden’s facial recognition technology was not used at the wedding. The outlet also reported that Swift and Kelce had camera crews documenting the day, and sources say the footage will be used for a special film that will cover everything from the planning to the actual wedding.
Will they release it? There’s no news about that yet, but the finished product will reportedly be sent to guests as part of a thank you for coming package.
This comes as details of the Swift and Kelce wedding have started emerging. TMZ reported on the food situation, saying that guests had to wait a long time when it came to eat. Not just that, some even ate standing up because there weren’t enough seats. The problem with inviting over 1,000 people.
Reportedly there was sit-down dinner, just multiple buffet-style food stations and some seats scattered throughout the venue. This is rather common in wedding these days, as it forces people to mingle. The outlet did report that there was plenty of food, and no one went hungry, even if they had to wait a while. Allegedly, there were stations serving pasta, sushi, chicken, salads, filet mignon, and a mix of Chinese, Italian, and American favorites.
There was also dessert. A lot of it. With assorted sweet treats and a dessert table with around 30 different cakes, all with a 3D figure of Taylor and Travis. Keepsakes everywhere!
Of course, some guests weren’t happy. That’s always the case. The Daily Mail reported that some people invited complained about the “tacky” and “chaotic” scenes inside the venue, including the fact that champagne reportedly ran out “really early” and the aforementioned long lines for food. One even described it as “a bit of a s*** show.”
“I couldn’t believe that there was a buffet at the wedding of the year!” one guest said. “That felt like such a tacky move.”
Another one added: “There were slightly chaotic scenes around the food carts with all these amazing A-listers having to stand in line. It wasn’t quite what I expected. You know Julia Roberts was there. And Steven Spielberg.”
Weddings. You can’t please everyone. But, if the bride and groom were happy with how the day went, that’s probably all that matters in the long run.
