Some Taylor Swift fans online are convinced that the singer is about to announce more music and she may have picked a very memorable place to release the news.
Many fans now believe that Swift is going to appear as a guest on this week’s episode of ‘New Heights’, the podcast hosted by boyfriend Travis Kelce and his brother Jason. She could be making a big announcement, but is it likely to happen?
The rumors were first sparked by an Instagram post by Taylor Nation, the singer’s in-house publicity team. They posted a 12-picture carousel with the caption: “Thinking about when she said ‘See you next era…’”
The post was shared more than 10,000 times within the first ten minutes as Taylor Swift fans contemplated the possible of new musical releases.
What followed next was a post by the New Heights team, who wrote: “We’re coming back early for a special episode with a VERY special guest”. The image shared on Instagram featured brothers Travis and Jason, alongside a mysterious outline of an upcoming guest that looks very similar to Taylor Swift.
In fact, one commenter noticed that Jason Kelce appears to be wearing a Taylor Swift shirt in the photograph, heightening the anticipation for a big Swiftie announcement.
Fortunately, fans don’t have to wait long to find out exactly who will be appearing on the next episode. The special edition New Heights will be released on Wednesday, August 13 with the episode available to stream from 7pm ET. Even that date may be a hint, given that 13 is Swift’s favorite number.
Fans will be hoping that new music is in the pipeline from Taylor Swift, but that’s not the only explanation being suggested online. Others have claimed that they could be planning a wedding and it’s been a topic of conversation at Kansas City Chiefs training camp this week.
Head coach Andy Reid was even asked if he would be willing to tell some stories about Travis at a future wedding. He did not hesitate to answer.
“Well there are a few I can’t tell. No, there are a lot of great stories,” Reid said. “He’s done so many good things, all the things he does off the field that people don’t know about, just helping people out. He’s got a big heart that way. I appreciate that the most.”
