The Bold and the Beautiful teased whether Luna or Liam would lose their life in the deadly shooting. Two of them survived everything, including the necessary surgery to save their life. But nothing has changed with Luna. She’s alive and remains the same murderous villain she was.
Luna Goes On a Murderous Spree
Luna (Lisa Yamada) was bound to kill someone… Again. She bought a gun so she could get rid of Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood). Liam (Scott Clifton) and Sheila (Kimberlin Brown) ended up in the crosshairs as well. It was Liam who took matters into his own hands and shot Luna in the stomach.
She was revived by Li (Naomi Matsuda), who didn’t want her niece/grandmother to go out like this. Li thought she could rehabilitate Luna and nurse her back to health, both mentally and physically.
But fans didn’t want Luna to come back from the dead. Some hoped she would die, while others hoped for a personality change.
What Happened To a Redemption Arc?
Li threw out the idea of rehabilitating Luna. So, she adopted a tough-love approach. But even she couldn’t go up against Luna, who was hellbent on causing trouble in Los Angeles. She got Will (Crew Morrow) drunk and took advantage of him while he was passed out in bed. Now, she’s pregnant with his child and believes they’re meant to be together.
Is Luna right? Does Will know more about that night than he’s saying on B&B?
Luna’s redemption arc never occurred because there was no such arc to begin with. She survived getting shot and hasn’t learned from her past mistakes. She might even turn into something worse. Once again, she’s living at the Spencer estate, as she calls the shots.
This storyline isn’t different from before. Luna is causing chaos among several families: the Nozawas, Spencers, Forresters, and Finnegans.
