Wheel of Fortune underwent a huge overhaul last year, after former host Pat Sajak retired and Ryan Seacrest was brought in. Now, it appears that the long-running game show is at risk for more changes.
Contract negotiations are on the horizon for Vanna White, the longtime cohost who reveals the letters on the board, and the Daily Mail reported that execs aren’t on board with raising her pay.
“The big change was from Pat to Ryan, and for a moment execs were considering getting rid of Vanna, but in the next negotiations, if Vanna stays on the same page, then they will likely offer a few more years at the same rate,” an insider told the publication on Sunday, September 28. “They are happy to keep her around, but if she pushes for more, then they might start thinking about a replacement.”

“Vanna knows what she is working with and knows she doesn’t have that much leverage,” another insider explained to the Daily Mail. “But she’s currently having her agents and lawyers deal with it before any type of public griping happens.”
White, 68, received a “substantial increase” when she signed on for the 2025-2026 season, after previously earning $3 million per year. Even with the raise, her salary was still far less than Sajak’s $15 million annually, according to a report from TMZ in 2023.
