Despite the long-running rumor, Spotify does not stop collecting Wrapped data on Halloween. In 2024, the company publicly clarified that listening continues to count past Oct. 31.
When did Spotify Wrapped start?
The feature began in 2015 as “Year in Music,” offering users a breakdown of their most-played artists and songs.
It was rebranded as “Spotify Wrapped” in 2016 with more personalized graphics and shareable slides.
How to find your Wrapped
When Wrapped launches, users will need to update the Spotify app. The Wrapped package usually appears at the top of the home page, with a prompt to tap and view your personalized report.
