Memphis native GloRilla brings early Christmas gift to alma mater
Memphis native GloRilla brings early Christmas gift to her alma mater, Melrose High School. She donated $25,000 to the school’s fine arts program.
The NBA All-Star Weekend is approaching, and for Memphis music fans, the annual All-Star Celebrity Game will hold special interest as local hip-hop star GloRilla is among those set to play.
The Grammy-nominated rapper will participate in the 2026 Ruffles NBA All-Star Celebrity Game on Feb. 13.
For much of the past NBA season, GloRilla has been keeping a high profile in NBA arenas watching her boyfriend, Toronto Raptors star Brandon Ingram. But this week GloRilla will be showing off her basketball skills.
GloRilla will be the second notable Memphis musician to appear in the game. In 2002 and 2003, Millington-bred pop star Justin Timberlake made his mark in the competition, in a now famous moment where he hit a jumper over former NBA player and longtime analyst Kenny Smith.
