The canceled NBC procedural “Found” is coming to Netflix.
Seasons 1 and 2 of “Found” will debut on Netflix on Friday, Jan 2, 2026. “Found” was canceled in May after two seasons. Fans were outraged by the decision, with some viewers petitioning for its return and others calling for another platform to save the series.
“I’m so mad that NBC is doing this. @paramountplus @netflix @peacock @hulu One of you guys should pick up the show don’t let it be cancelled. #FoundNBC,” one fan wrote via X in May.
Despite the strong response from fans, “Found” has not been rescued. Netflix will serve as a new home for existing seasons of the series, but the platform hasn’t renewed “Found” for an additional season.
“Found” stars Shanola Hampton as Gabi Moseley, a former kidnapping victim who manages a crisis management firm. Gabi specializes in missing people whose cases have been overlooked or forgotten by law enforcement, and her methods are a bit unorthodox. Gabi abducts Hugh “Sir” Evans (Mark-Paul Gosselaar), the man who kidnapped her 20 years prior, and holds him captive to gain his perspective on kidnappers’ patterns.

In addition to Hampton and Gosselaar, the “Found” cast includes Kelli Williams (Margaret Reed), Brett Dalton (Detective Mark Trent) and Arlen Escarpeta (Zeke Wallace).
Warning: Spoilers ahead for season 2 of “Found.”

The second and final season of “Found” ended with Gabi admitting to harboring Sir while speaking at a press conference. Meanwhile, Sir looked dead or close to it after an unknown assailant attacked him in his cell. Unfortunately, fans may never learn what happened to Sir and Gabi now that “Found” has been canceled.
“I just want folks to know that there’s still more story to tell,” Hampton told Entertainment Weekly shortly before the cancelation was announced. “You can see Gabi confessed and Sir is bleeding out at the end, but what comes next? I just want the fans to realize that there’s still a lot more.”
“Found” is currently available to stream on Peacock. The series will debut on Netflix on Jan. 2.
