May has arrived, which means the 2026 Met Gala, the biggest fashion event of the year, is here.

On May 4, stars who scored a coveted invite will pose on the famous steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art dressed in designer outfits that reflect the theme: “Costume Art.” Beyoncé, Venus Williams and Nicole Kidman will be leading by example, following the “Fashion Is Art” dress code as this year’s co-chairs, along with Anna Wintour.

The Beyhive is highly anticipating the music icon’s appearance as she hasn’t attended the extravagant event since 2016. Other stars who are expected to walk the Met’s grand steps are host committee co-chairs Anthony Vaccarello and Zoë Kravitz, as well as fellow members Sabrina Carpenter, Teyana Taylor, Lena Dunham, Misty Copeland, A’ja Wilson, Doja Cat, Sam Smith, Agela Bassett, Chase Sui Wonders and more. Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez Bezos are honorary chairs.

TODAY’s Sheinelle Jones will be on the red carpet to chat with the celebs as they enter the museum.

Where Does the 2026 Met Gala Take Place?

Every year, the Met Gala is held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City and acts as a fundraiser for the museum. The proceeds from the event go to the Costume Institute, helping fund its exhibitions, publications, acquisitions and operations, according to Vogue.

This year’s exhibition, featuring the “Costume Art” theme, will be open from May 10 through Jan. 10, 2027.

For the 2026 Met Gala, the red carpet livestream will be hosted by Vogue and broadcast live on the fashion magazine’s website and other digital platforms, including YouTube and TikTok.

Ashley Graham, La La Anthony and Cara Delevingne will work as co-hosts, and Emma Chamberlain is returning as the magazine’s red carpet correspondent.

Additionally, fashionistas can watch “Live From E!: Met Gala 2026” airing on the network starting at 3 p.m. PT/ 6 p.m. ET with Zuri Hall as the host. The special will be broadcast again on the West Coast at 8 p.m. PT.

Hall will be joined by E!’s panel of fashion experts: Justin Sylvester, Keltie Knight and Zanna Roberts Rassi, as well as “Summer House” star Ciara Miller, “The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” cast member Bronwyn Newport and former WNBA player and current sports analyst Renee Montgomery. Plus, designer Christian Siriano and celebrity hairstylist Chris Appleton will be sharing their thoughts on every look, too.
