Prince Andrew’s new residence has been revealed after news broke that King Charles III would be removing his titles amid an ongoing sexual assault scandal.

Us understands that a formal notice has been given on Thursday, October 30, for Andrew, 65, to vacate Royal Lodge and surrender the lease. The move will be taking place as soon as is practicable.

Andrew is set to move to a property on the private Sandringham estate, with future accommodation privately funded by Charles, 76. Specific details about which property will not be released publicly.

As for the agreement that Andrew could reside at his current property until 2078, the cast iron lease has required negotiation between all parties for Andrew to serve formal notice to surrender the lease.

King Charles III has officially started the “formal” process to remove the “style, titles and honors” of Prince Andrew as the fallout from his brother’s ongoing sexual assault scandal continues. “Prince Andrew will now be known as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor. Charles will be starting the “formal” process to remove Andrew’s “style, titles and honors.”

“Prince Andrew will now be known as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor. His lease on Royal Lodge has, to date, provided him with legal protection to continue in residence,” a Buckingham Palace statement shared with Us read. “Formal notice has now been served to surrender the lease and he will move to alternative private accommodation. These censures are deemed necessary, notwithstanding the fact that he continues to deny the allegations against him.”

The statement continued, “Their Majesties wish to make clear that their thoughts and utmost sympathies have been, and will remain with, the victims and survivors of any and all forms of abuse.”

Andrew, 65, has denied allegations linking him to the late billionaire sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein. Further allegations were made about Andrew and Epstein in Virginia Giuffre’s posthumously released memoir, Nobody’s Girl. (Andrew’s friendship with Epstein was revealed in 2019 when he was accused of having sexual relations with then-underage Giuffre in 2001. Giuffre sued Andrew for sexual abuse in 2021, which was settled outside of court the following year. She died by suicide at age 41 in April.)

Prince Andrew has reportedly asked for two other homes in exchange for moving out of Royal Lodge amid the Jeffrey Epstein scandal. The Sun was first to report that Andrew, 65, and ex-wife Sarah Ferguson are looking at two separate homes in Windsor, previously occupied by other members of the royal family. Andrew has agreed […]

The Sun reported earlier this month that Andrew agreed to vacate Royal Lodge, where he lived with ex-wife Sarah Ferguson. The exes share Princess Beatrice, 37, and Princess Eugenie, 35. Us Weekly reached out to Buckingham Palace for comment at the time.

Andrew announced his plans to give up his royal titles earlier this month, days before the release of Giuffre’s Nobody’s Girl.

“In discussion with The King, and my immediate and wider family, we have concluded the continued accusations about me distract from the work of His Majesty and the Royal Family,” Andrew shared in a statement to Us on October 17. “I have decided, as I always have, to put my duty to my family and country first. I stand by my decision five years ago to stand back from public life.”

He added, “With His Majesty’s agreement, we feel I must now go a step further. I will therefore no longer use my title or the honors which have been conferred upon me. As I have said previously, I vigorously deny the accusations against me.”
