Lana Del Rey is ready to release new music at last, and she’s made it a family affair.
The 40-year-old Born to Die singer announced that her new single, “White Feather Hawk Tail Deer Hunter,” will be released Tuesday (February 17).

“White Feather Hawk Tail Deer Hunter” is said to come from her tenth studio album, Stove, which does not yet have a release date.
Earlier in February, she announced the single and release date in an Instagram Story, as well as sharing some behind-the-scenes details.
“I just wanted to make a little message and let you know that my new single and my favorite song – this is the one I’ve been waiting for – ‘White Feather Hawk Tail Deer Hunter’ – is coming out on the 17th,” she explained on her @honeymoon Instagram Story.
“I know, you’re asking about the record, but honestly, soon because vinyl takes three months, so you have three months plus two weeks…it could be give or take a little bit less than that. But aside from that, I really want you to focus on this single.”
“I’m really happy about it. Finally going to be out and did the strings and a little bit of production with Drew Erickson, Dean Reid, Laura Sisk mixed it a little bit as well, and Jack Antonoff and I did it together. Finally, found that magical chord that I was missing. Also, my brother-in-law, Jason Pickens, my sister, Chuck Grant, and Jeremy [Dufrene] wrote it with me as well.”
The song seemingly samples Ella Fitzgerald‘s “Laura,” as evidenced by an early teaser of the song.
“He’s my white feather hawk tail deer hunter / Likes to keep me cool in the hot breeze summer / Likes to push me on this green John Deere mower / I know you wish you had a man like him, it’s such a bummer,” she sings.
