The question of who will be the next James Bond has dominated Hollywood chatter for months.
Amazon MGM Studios has confirmed Denis Villeneuve as the director of the next 007 film.
Yet the identity of the actor replacing the face of Daniel Craig remains officially unannounced.
Now, a clear frontrunner has emerged.
According to GQ UK, British actor Callum Turner is currently the “red-hot” favourite to land the iconic role.
The publication praised Turner as “one of the more quietly impressive British actors of his generation,” highlighting his brooding intensity and classic leading-man appeal.
Turner, best known for Fantastic Beasts, Masters of the Air and The Boys in the Boat, has reportedly surged to the top of prediction markets.
KTLA reports that 44% of bets in one major market are now backing Turner to become the next 007.
Speculation has only intensified after The Daily Mail claimed Turner has been telling friends the role is his, though no confirmation has been made.
Turner is also engaged to pop superstar Dua Lipa fueling rumours she could contribute a Bond theme if he’s cast.
Other names still in the mix include Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Idris Elba, Harris Dickinson, Tom Holland, Damson Idris and Jacob Elordi.
Villeneuve, a lifelong Bond fan, has promised to honour the franchise’s legacy while ushering in a bold new era leaving fans convinced a major announcement is imminent.
