The costumes on The Masked Singer do a good job of concealing the identities of the celebrities wearing them. However, sometimes the singers request a slight modification to the original look. Episode 2 of season 14 unmasked two more competitors and one left, revealing a special touch to his or her costume.
SPOILER ALERT: This post contains the results for the second elimination of the night, so don’t keep reading if you don’t want to be spoiled.
Rita Ora was the only judge to guess the person under Le Who Who mask…her friend, Tiffany Haddish! Haddish talked to Entertainment Weekly about her elimination and revealed the cheeky aspect to her costume. “I was like, ‘This is so cute, but she don’t have no panties,'” the funny actor explained. “And I was like, ‘I don’t got no panties.'” The designers fixed that, and ruffled panties were added under Le Who Who’s skirt.
She showed the underwear to the audience as she spanked her butt. Apparently, this is a childhood pastime for the Girl’s Trip star. “So then I kind of was reverting back to kindergarten Tiff, who every time she got to wear pretty ruffled panties, I had to show everybody like, ‘You got to see these panties I have on, look!'” she explained. “I used to get in trouble for that all the time until like second grade, to the point where my mom started buying me Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday panties.”
Le Who Who’s performance also had a childlike theme. She performed Blondie’s “One Way or Another” in a play pen with multiple life-sized stuffed animals. Other dancers stacked letter blocks to start the performance. The actor isn’t completely leaving singing behind after her elimination. Haddish revealed in the same interview that she is releasing music, but the release date hasn’t been revealed.
