Their love was born on the bayou, and that’s where Lana Del Rey’s husband Jeremy Dufrene prefers to stay. Over a year after the Grammy-nominated pop star, 40, and the alligator tour guide, 50, tied the knot, Dufrene is still employed at Airboat Tours by Arthur in Des Allemands, Louisiana, the owner of the company confirmed to The Sun.
“Jeremy still works part time,” said Chad Matherne, whose father, Arthur, passed the business on to him two years ago. According to Matherne, Dufrene’s high-profile relationship has been good for business. “We got a little busier, we get some business, because of the popularity, but we were still pretty busy before.”
Perhaps some of those customers are hoping to have their own love story on the swamp. After all, Del Rey and Dufrene met when she took one of his airboat tours with friends in 2019. Now, the pair live primarily in Dufrene’s $273,000 Louisiana home, according to The Sun, though Del Rey maintains her place in Los Angeles as well.

So why does Dufrene continue to work as an airboat captain when his bride is reportedly worth $40 million? “We have a passion for what we do,” said Matherne.
On September 26, Del Rey and Dufrene each took to Instagram to share photos from their Louisiana wedding one year prior. In one shot, they sit aboard an airboat, Del Rey wearing a full-skirted white wedding dress. “Just want to wish my precious bride a Happy 1st year Anniversary,” Dufrene captioned his post. “A lifetime of love and happy tears to go.”
