Timothée Chalamet and his girlfriend, Kylie Jenner, made headlines for their awards show appearances earlier this year, especially at the Oscars. But the couple is sitting out tonight’s Emmys. And there’s a good reason: The actor wasn’t nominated for any awards. Chalamet was snubbed in the one category for which he was eligible: Best Guest Actor in a Comedy Series for his work hosting Saturday Night Live.
Chalamet has also been out of the U.S., filming Dune: Part Three in Hungary. In mid-August, People reported that production would also be moving to Jordan and Abu Dhabi.
A source detailed how Jenner and Chalamet were maintaining their long-distance relationship during that period. “Timothée’s schedule is grueling, with very little downtime,” the source explained to People. “They’re making it work though. They FaceTime most days. They miss each other and are totally fine.”
Jenner traveled to see Chalamet in August. The couple was photographed at a coffee shop in Budapest on August 19:
On August 21, a source told Us Weekly that Jenner and Chalamet, who have been dating for over two years, “adore each other.”
Chalamet brings her “a sense of calm and stability that she hasn’t always had in the past,” the source said. “[Timothée] lets Kylie just be herself, and there is no pressure from either of them,” the source added. “They have the same sense of humor and understanding of their two different lives. It just works. Their ability to keep things low-key, even with their high-profile careers, has made the connection feel even more genuine.”
