Happy is what happens when all your dreams come true.
And Wicked fans in Singapore are going to be very happy when the stars from the movie land in the Lion City on Nov 13, the only Asian stop in the international promotional tour for the upcoming sequel Wicked: For Good.
The tour will also stop by cities like Sao Paulo, Paris, London and New York.
Opening in Singapore cinemas on Nov 20, Wicked: For Good is the follow-up to the hit fantasy musical movie Wicked (2024) and is set in the Land of Oz before and after the arrival of Kansas girl Dorothy Gale from The Wizard Of Oz.
Both films are adapted from the 2003 stage musical Wicked.
Wicked: For Good is directed by American director Jon M. Chu, who also helmed the movie Wicked (2024).

Wicked: For Good follows the witches Elphaba (Erivo) and Glinda (Grande), whose friendship is put to the test as they embrace their new identities as the Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda the Good respectively.
The now demonised Elphaba lives in exile, hidden within the Ozian forest while continuing her fight for the freedom of Oz’s silenced animals and desperately trying to expose the truth she knows about The Wizard (Goldblum).
Meanwhile, under the instruction of Madame Morrible (Yeoh), Glinda is deployed to serve as an effervescent comfort to Oz, reassuring the masses that all is well under the rule of The Wizard.
In addition, Glinda is preparing to marry Prince Fiyero (Bailey) in a spectacular Ozian wedding. Other characters include Boq (portrayed by American actor Ethan Slater) and Nessarose (portrayed by American actress Marissa Bode).
Wicked was wildly successful when it opened in cinemas in November 2024, grossing over US$756 million (S$981 million) worldwide. It received 10 nominations at the 2025 Academy Awards, and won two Oscars for Best Costume Design and Best Production Design at the ceremony in March.
