Live music is having a moment. Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour had 149 shows. The Eagles had 44 in their Sphere residency last year. There are 50 shows planned for Harry Styles’ Together, Together tour this summer. And those are just some of the big ones.
Goldman Sachs predicts the live music industry to grow 7.2% every year between now and 2030, and more live events mean the industry will need a lot more people to run those events.
“Marketplace” host Kai Ryssdal spoke with journalist Drew Millard about his piece in Bloomberg about how the industry plans to train and recruit its next generation of roadies.
