WWE Hall of Famer Mike Rotunda, 67, known to wrestling fans as Irwin R. Schyster (IRS), has entered hospice care, according to his former tag team partner Barry Windham.

Sports Illustrated reported that Windham revealed Rotunda’s condition during a recent interview with wrestling media personality Bill Apter.

“It’s kinda tough right now. Mike is in hospice right now,” Windham told Apter. “So, anyway, I love that family. It’s so tragic.”

Windham did not specify what health issues led to Rotunda being placed in hospice, but spoke highly of his character.

“He was just a good boy. He was such a good person, never got in trouble at all his whole life. He’s a good boy,” Windham noted.

Rotunda made his mark in professional wrestling throughout the 80s and 90s across several promotions, including WWE, WCW and New Japan Pro-Wrestling.

He first gained prominence on American television alongside Windham as part of the U.S. Express tag team, the report said.

According to the outlet, fans from the 90s era remember Rotunda as IRS, an antagonistic tax collector. His partnership with Ted DiBiase as Money Inc. resulted in three WWE Tag Team Championships. He later spent five years in WCW from 1995 to 2000, briefly joining the infamous nWo faction.

Rotunda is the father of the late Bray Wyatt and WWE performer Bo Dallas, who led the Wyatt Sicks stable as Uncle Howdy.

His most recent WWE television appearance came during the “Raw is XXX” special episode of Monday Night Raw in 2023, where he made a cameo alongside DiBiase.
