Yungblud has no problem admitting he’s a Swiftie at heart.
The 28-year-old rocker sat down with Bill Maher on the comedian’s Club Random podcast on Tuesday, October 7, when the conversation shifted to Taylor Swift’s music. While Maher admitted he has “nothing against her” but doesn’t connect with her songs, Yungblud jumped in with a full-throated defense.
“I f**king love” Taylor’s music, Yungblud said, explaining that some of her older tracks take him back to happy moments spent with his sisters. For him, Swift’s catalog isn’t just catchy pop — it’s deeply tied to family memories.
When Maher took a playful jab at Swift’s massively successful Eras Tour film, calling it “endless,” Yungblud didn’t bite. Instead, the two found common ground, agreeing that not everyone has to share the same tastes in music — and that it’s fine to acknowledge when an artist simply isn’t your style. “It’s perfectly fine not to like someone’s music,” Yungblud agreed, while making it clear that Swift’s artistry resonates with him.

The unexpected endorsement comes as Swift continues her record-breaking year, fresh off the release of The Life of a Showgirl, which shattered Spotify’s single-day streaming record earlier this month. Meanwhile, Yungblud has been busy promoting his own work while also reflecting on another major music influence in his life — the late Ozzy Osbourne.
After the Black Sabbath frontman’s passing in July, the British rocker honored him in a heartfelt Instagram post, calling Osbourne “the greatest of all time.” He wrote about their final meeting, recalling how “your laugh filled up the room” and promising, “I will never forget you – you will be in every single note I sing and with me every single time I walk on stage.”
The rocker also recently honored the late Osbourne during the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards, joining Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler and Joe Perry, along with guitarist Nuno Bettencourt, for a powerful rock tribute. The performance opened with a video montage introduced by Osbourne’s son Jack and his daughters, before Yungblud kicked off the live performance by mimicking Osbourne’s famous “All Aboard” call. He then performed Black Sabbath classics “Changes” and “Crazy Train” before teaming up with Tyler and Perry on “Mama, I’m Coming Home,” earning thunderous applause from the crowd.
