The breakup of Zach Bryan and Barstool Sports personality Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia last year was not pretty.
It did quiet down for a while, though.
But it has reignited across the past week in a big way. Bryan went and burned a Barstool Sports flag, and … well, Dave Portnoy has already made his disdain for the singer clear and is not the kind of guy to hold his tongue. So, he went after Bryan on Thursday’s “Unnamed Show.”
Portnoy began by going after Bryan for dating a girl — Samantha Leonard — who Portnoy believes looks just like LaPaglia.
“Have you seen his girlfriend?” Portnoy asked co-hosts Kirk Minihane and Ryan Whitney. “That’s not Brianna. It’s insane. I mean, how is that even possible?
“I honestly don’t even know what I’m looking at here,” he added. “The guy’s an absolute psychopath. He went and built a Brianna 2.0 in the lab. I mean, that’s insane.”
Men’s Journal also noted that LaPaglia got in on that action, too, on TikTok by lip-syncing Taylor Swift’s “It It Over Now?”
Your new girl is my clone,” she lip-synced. “You think I didn’t see there were flashing lights? At least I had the decency to keep my nights out of sight.”
Bryan shared a video to his Instagram stories on Aug. 4 that showed him burning a Barstool Sports flag. It was set to Tyler Childers’ song “Bitin’ List.”
“To put it plain, I just don’t like you,” the lyrics behind the video went. “Not a thing about the way you is. And if there ever come a time I got rabies, you’re high on my bitin’ list.”
