Zara Larsson joined the EE Official Big Top 40 from Global with Will Manning yesterday to chat all about her latest album and collaborating with MNEK once again!
During the interview Zara Larsson revealed her admiration for close collaborator MNEK, joking that his new solo material is so good she’s tempted to leak it herself.
Speaking to Will Manning, the Swedish pop star said the world “needs to hear it now” after working together on her latest record.
“MNEK, who I made this whole record with, he’s just not getting rid of me,” Zara told Will on air. “It’s so amazing and I feel like we’ve known each other for a really long time. After this project we’ve just gotten so much closer and become really good friends. I feel so understood and seen when I’m with him.”
Will praised MNEK for executive producing the entire album, describing the collaboration as “crazy.” He added that he’d love to see MNEK return to his own artist career – a comment that Zara quickly agreed with.
“Oh, he will!” she said confidently. “I know he will because I’ve heard some of his songs and it’s so good that I wanna leak it.”
When Will reminded her, she couldn’t leak someone else’s music, Zara laughed and replied, “I know, but I just feel like the world needs to hear it now!”
Zara and MNEK have previously worked together on a string of hits, including Never Forget You, which reached the UK Top 5 in 2015. Their long-running creative partnership continues with her latest album, which MNEK executive produced in full.
