Zendaya is really taking her The Drama promotion to the next level. It seems method dressing in bridal whites and crashing a Las Vegas wedding simply wasn’t enough. Now, the Emmy winner is surprising women at their bridal shop appointments.
A few months back, an open casting call was sent out for one lucky couple to receive a special wedding dress opportunity in celebration of The Drama’s release. Alexandra Warren and KB White were chosen, and what they didn’t see coming was that their appointment would include styling by Law Roach and a surprise appearance from Zendaya herself (who ended up buying the dress chosen by the soon-to-be bride).
“We were completely surprised,” White told People. “We are still in disbelief at their generosity.”
Warren documented the moment on Instagram, writing: “Sparkliest week of my life! KB and I exchanged rings (!) and then zendaya bought my wedding dress (????) (!!) I am so lucky to have had an experience like this … out of this world 🥹.”
The appointment took place this past February at the Mark Ingram Bridal Gown Atelier in New York City, where the happy couple—who met at the nonprofit where they currently work as public interest lawyers—were joined by their bridal consultant, Mckenzie Salvatierra-Custin.
Warren, as it turns out, has long been a fan of Law Roach’s styling. “I felt like I was floating!” she told People. “I wish I had three hours to discuss style with him.”
She added: “I’ve always loved fashion and gowns and always thought I’d want to look beautiful for special moments in my life. To have such an important garment not only be signed off on by a stylist I’ve admired forever but paid for by an artist I admire felt like a dream come true. I still can’t believe it! I want to wear it every day for the rest of my life.”
