Disney has unveiled a brand new trailer for Zootopia 2, the highly anticipated sequel to 2016’s popular animated buddy comedy. The movie is currently scheduled to hit theaters on November 26.
“After cracking the biggest case in Zootopia’s history, rookie cops Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde find their partnership isn’t as solid as they thought when Chief Bogo orders them to join the Partners in Crisis counseling program. But it doesn’t take long for their partnership to be put to the ultimate test when they find themselves on the twisting trail of a mystery tied to the arrival of a venomous snake in the animal metropolis,” reads the official synopsis.

Who is in the Zootopia 2 trailer?
The video offers fans a closer look at the return of Jason Bateman‘s Nick Wilde and Ginnifer Goodwin‘s Judy Hopps. Despite successfully solving their first mission together in the first installment, the sequel will see Nick and Judy attending Partners in Crisis counseling after realizing that their bond isn’t as solid as they think it is. While working on strengthening their partnership, they work on their next case involving a snake.
Joining Bateman and Goodwin are franchise newcomers Ke Huy Quan as Gary De’Snake, Quinta Brunson as Dr. Fuzzby, and Fortune Feimster as Nibbles. The sequel will also feature the return of Shakira as Gazelle, Idris Elba as Chief Bogo, Bonnie Hunt as Bonnie Hopps, Don Lake as Stu Hopps, Nate Torrence as Clawhauser, Jenny Slate as Bellwether, Alan Tudyk as Duke Weaselton, Maurice LaMarche as Mr. Big, Leah Latham as Fru Fru, Josh Dallas as Frantic Pig, Tommy Chong as Yax, Mark Rhino Smith as Officer McHorn, and Raymond Persi as Flash.
Zootopia 2 is directed by Encanto filmmakers Jared Bush and Byron Howard, with Bush also writing the screenplay. It is produced by Yvett Merino. Since making its debut in 2016, the first installment has received a near-perfect Tomatometer rating of 98% on Rotten Tomatoes, based on 298 reviews. In addition to its critical success, the movie was a box office hit with a worldwide gross of over $1 billion.
