14-year-old Stranger Things breakout star Nell Fisher has opened up about what it’s really like balancing high school with Hollywood — and working alongside some of Netflix’s biggest stars. Appearing on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon, the young actress revealed that she missed nearly an entire year of school while filming throughout 2024, returning to class unsure how her teachers would react.
Nell joked about being a “goody two shoes” and panicking when a teacher asked to see her after class — only to discover they wanted to compliment her performance on Stranger Things. But school wasn’t the only memorable part of her experience. On set, Nell formed close bonds with her co-stars, including Millie Bobby Brown.
She shared that during long, exhausting shoot days, Millie brought the cast together by choreographing a dance to Sabrina Carpenter’s Please Please Please, turning stress into a fun, morale-boosting moment. Nell also praised Finn Wolfhard and Natalia Dyer — who play her siblings on the show — calling them “wonderful humans” who were incredibly supportive.
