April 1: Durham Bulls opening night – The team will take on the Sugar Land Space Cowboys with first pitch at 6:35 p.m. There will also be post-game fireworks.

April 1: Battle of the Badges – Watch the Raleigh Police Department compete against the Raleigh Fire Department in a friendly hockey game at The Lenovo Center.

April 1: Doug Stanhope featuring Andy Andrist – See these comedians at Goodnights in Raleigh.

April 3: Durham Bulls’ Bark in the Park – All dogs have their day at the DBAP with the return of Bark in the Park! Man’s best friend is welcome to join their owners in outfield reserve or berm seating for select games throughout the 2025 season

April 3: Deric Cahill – Fresh off the release of his debut comedy special, Toxic Papa, Deric Cahill is back and bolder than ever with his new tour which stops at Raleigh Improv.

April 3-6: Full Frame Documentary Film Festival – The Full Frame Documentary Film Festival is an annual international event dedicated to the theatrical exhibition of nonfiction cinema. The show will be happening at Carolina Theatre.

April 4-5: En Plein Air Fuquay-Varina – This arts celebration is happening in downtown and includes artists painting live works, displays of finished works and more. 

April 4: First Friday Market & Movie Night: Wall-E – Enjoy this free family night in downtown Raleigh at Moore Square. Bring a blanket or chair to relax on the lawn for the movie, grab a bite from the food trucks and explore the market. There will be a free field games for all ages.

April 4 and 6: Mozart – The Marriage of Figaro – Comedic capers and uproarious antics take center stage as Mozart’s classic opera battle of the sexes and the classes returns to NC Opera. 

April 4-6, 11-13: You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown! – Charles Schulz’s beloved comic comes to life in this classic production, You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown. This musical tells the story of an average day in the life of the famous comic strip hero, Charlie Brown. See it at Stars Auditorium at Imagine in north Raleigh.

April 5: Durham Bulls: Bull Durham Night – The Durham Bulls will celebrate “The Greatest Movie of All Time” with this special night at the ballpark. 

April 5-6: Dreamville Music Festival – Curated by platinum-selling rapper J. Cole, this two-day, multi-stage music festival holds its final event at Dix Park this weekend.

April 5: April Foods Day Food Truck Rodeo 2025 – Enjoy food and fun in Garner’s social district from 5 to 9 p.m.

April 5: MAKRS Society presents: Durham Nights – This night market series features vendors, music and more fun at Golden Belt Campus.

April 5: Aristocats at Garner Performing Arts Center – Based on the beloved Disney animated film, and featuring a jazzy, upbeat score, Disney’s The Aristocats KIDS is a non-stop thrill ride of feline fun, complete with unbelievable twists and turns. Performed by the Spotlight Homeschool class.

April 5: Fest in the West – Held at Mills Park in Cary from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., this free festival will include many activities from jump rope to robotics. There will be two stages of performances, plus a petting zoo and obstacle course.

April 5: Fantasia & Anthony Hamilton – GRAMMY® Award-winning vocal powerhouse, Fantasia Barrino, is coming to Lenovo Center at 8 p.m. with special guest Anthony Hamilton.

April 5: Holi Celebration – Holi, a festival of colors, celebrates the beginning of spring. This event will be held 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Salem Middle School in Apex. It will include live music, performances, food trucks and more.

April 5: Spring Egg Dive –  Dive, splash, and swim for eggs and win prizes at this Spring Egg Dive event at Campus Hills Pool. All swim levels are welcome and life vests will be provided. An adult will need to enter the water with children 9 years of age and younger. Registration is limited.  

April 5: Spring Fling in Holly Springs – The Spring Fling at Ting (Stadium) will include a morning of games, activities, a bunny meet and greet and a huge egg hunt.  

April 5: Wake Forest 2025 Easter Eggstravaganza – This egg hunt is happening at  E. Carroll Joyner Park, 701 Harris Road. Join  the Bunny Trail any time between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. to “poach” your eggs. You have two hours to leisurely hop in and collect your eggs – entirely at your convenience. An Egg-ceptional Zone will be open to children with disabilities and their families from 10:30 to 11 a.m.

April 5: The Market at NCMA – Held the first Saturday of each month, this market always has a new selection of local artists in the plaza and live music from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

April 6: Geek and Grub Market Fantasy Edition – Dress in your favorite fantasy-inspired garb and head to Geek and Grub’s first ever event at Optimist Farm in Apex for a free day filled with Renaissance Day fun including Piedmont Wildlife Center and The Variant, and more than 50 Geektastic vendors.

April 6: Experience Hendrix – The Experience Hendrix Tour evokes the era when artists treated each performance as a unique interaction with their audience. See them on stage at DPAC.

April 6: Harlem Globetrotters 2025 World Tour – See the world famous team on the court at The Lenovo Center.

April 8-13: Book of Mormon – This outrageous musical comedy follows the adventures of a mismatched pair of missionaries, sent halfway across the world to spread the Good Word.

April 8: Ultimutt Dog Egg Hunt – Egg hunts are not just for children anymore! Bring your furry friends and a basket to hunt for treat-filled eggs together and get a photo opportunity with the Easter Bunny. The UltiMutt Dog Egg Hunt is being offered for all Town of Apex Annual Dog Park Pass holders and their fur babies.

April 8: Circus on Ice –  Featuring world-class performers, this unique spectacle combines dazzling acrobatics, elegant ice dancing, and stunning visual effects at Garner Performing Arts Center.

April 8: Egg-streme Teen Flashlight Egg Hunt – Free event for teens ages 10-13. Grab your flashlight and search for candy filled eggs at Apex Nature Park. The hunt will start precisely at 8:15 p.m. so please arrive at 8 p.m..

April 8: JoJo at The Ritz – See the pop singer on stage.

April 9: Durham Community Day at Museum of Life and Science – On Durham Community Days, Durham County residents get in free with current proof of residence. All adults must have Durham residency to get in free; each adult can bring up to five children.

April 10: Specialized Recreation Flashlight Egg Hunt – This is a special event for individuals with disabilities. Grab your flashlight and search for candy filled eggs at Apex Nature Park.

April 10: Eric Eaton at Raleigh Improv – Eric has performed all over the United States and can be seen on the hit TV Show Masters of Illusion.

April 10: Egg-citing Teen Glow Egg Hunt at Lions Park – Open to those 12 to 17,  this event includes egg-citing games and activities that include glow min-it to win it, challenges, pre-stuffed eggs, snacks, prizes and more.

April 10: Spring Egg Hunt at Duke Homestead – Join in for a free egg hunt at Duke Homestead! Kids will be able to roam the grounds to find hidden eggs, and turn them in for prizes. Get the whole family playing with egg-themed games, as well as traditional historic games, and enjoy a puppet show.

April 10: Ms Renee Live One Night Only –  “Miss Renee,” is an acclaimed actor, comedian, and social media influencer. See them on stage at Goodnights.

April 10: Follow Me to Fuquay-Varina Concert Series: The Embers – The Embers will play at this outdoor concert series featuring cool tunes and local brews in the heart of downtown Fuquay-Varina.

April 11-13: You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown! – Charles Schulz’s beloved comic comes to life in this classic production, You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown. April 11-12: 11th Annual Bone Suckin’ Sauce Peak City Pig Fest – All the fun starts Friday at 5 p.m. and continue on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. There will be a  beer garden, live music and of course barbecue.

April 11: Denzel Curry – Mischievous South Tour – Born and raised in Miami Gardens, Florida, Curry started rapping while in the sixth grade and began working on his first mixtape. See him on stage at The Ritz.

April 11: 21Marbles: PARTYology – Sip, create and play your way to become a certified PARTYologist at 21Marbles night. Must be 21 or older. 

April 11-12: Christina P: Old Yeller Tour – See the comedian on tour at Raleigh Improv.

April 11-13: ESL One Raleigh 2025 – For the first time since 2015, ESL One brings Dota 2 back to North America with this event at Raleigh Convention Center.

April 11-12: Elgar Enigma Variations – Music Director Carlos Miguel Prieto conducts the North Carolina Symphony in Elgar’s great and noble “Enigma” Variations and Schubert’s lyrical “Unfinished” Symphony.

April 11-13: Jon Lovitz – See the SNL alum at Raleigh Improv.

April 11: SRIS Spring Fling Dance at Laurel Hills Recreation Center in Raleigh – This dance is for youth and adults with disabilities. Volunteer chaperones, DJ, and refreshments are provided

April 11-13: Tim Meadows live at Goodnights Comedy Club – Tim Meadows is best known as one of the longest running cast members on “Saturday Night Live.”

April 11-12: Room 861 at Goodnights: Kevin Bozeman – With a smooth and clever style, a great smile and a contagious laugh Kevin has been entertaining in clubs and colleges across the country.

April 11-13 and 18-20: Dino Egg Hunt – Bring your junior paleontologists on an excavation adventure as they hunt for colorful dinosaur eggs in exchange for a special “Dino-prize” and explore the Dinosaur Trail at the Museum of Life and Science.

April 11: The Great Eggstravaganza at Brier Creek – Hop on over to Brier Creek Community Center to experience The Great Eggstravaganza! You’ll enjoy stations of arts, crafts, games, snacks for the whole family. 

April 11: Bunny Hop – 

Peter Cottontail is coming to Garner Recreation Center. Join in the fun with a pancake dinner, crafts, pictures with the Bunny, and an egg hunt.

April 11: Fuquay-Varina Adaptive Egg Hunt – The Town of Fuquay-Varina will be hosting its first Adaptive Egg Hunt beginning at 4:30 pm at the South Park Community Center. This sensory-friendly program is designed for kids ages 10 and under.   

April 12: Triangle Vintage Market – This vintage market at Bull Mccabes in downtown Durham includes 12 vintage clothing vendors.

April 12: Fuquay-Varina Easter Egg Hunt – The annual Easter Egg Hunt for kids ages 10 and under will be held on Saturday, April 12 at Fleming Loop Park and will begin promptly at 10 a.m.

April 12: Steppapalooza – All line dance/Stepper groups are welcome at this event at Durham Central Park.

April 12: Divas! 2025 – Divas! returns to RLT’s Sutton Theatre for its 19th anniversary in 2025. 

April 12: Fuquay-Varina Downtown Candy Hop –  Bring your peeps downtown for the Fuquay-Varina Downtown Association’s Candy Hop on April 12 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Hop along Main & Broad Streets and fill your Easter baskets with treats from participating merchants and make some memories along the way.  

April 12: Git Along Vintage Market – Shop for curated vintage spanning many eras, as well as, homemade and upcycled items at Lonerider Brewing Company in Raleigh.

April 12: Mordecai Egg Hunt – Egg hunts will begin at 11 a.m. for age groups 0-4, 5-9, and 10 and up. This is a free event and registration is not required.

April 12: Kiwanis Park Egg Hunt – The egg hunt will start outside at 10 a.m. and continue while supplies last. After, enjoy fun crafts, games and spring activities in the park. 

April 12: Dog-Gone Egg Hunt – Bring your dog to Rock Quarry Park, where they will experience an egg hunt: Canine style! After you are done hunting for eggs, explore local vendors for hand crafted dog products.

April 12: JLR Touch-a-Truck 2025 – There will be music, food trucks, entertainment, bounce houses and more. Proceeds from Touch-A-Truck will benefit the Junior League of Raleigh’s Community Fund, which supports the League’s community programs and partnerships.

April 12: Garner Spring Eggstravaganza – Enjoy games, kids’ crafts, music, food trucks, and more at this free family event.   

April 12: Camps Hill Park Egg Hunt – Egg Hunt begins promptly at 10:15 a.m. Children will be divided into groups according to age. Find the golden egg to win an extra prize. This is an inclusive children of all ability levels.

April 12: Egg Hunt at West Point on the Eno –  Children 12 and under will be divided into groups according to their age for the egg hunt. Find the golden egg and win an extra prize. All age groups will start at 10:15 a.m. Games and crafts to follow.

April 12: Apex Bunny Trail Egg Hunt – Grab your family and get ready to hit the trail for a free egg hunt at Seagroves Farm Park in Apex! Registration is required. There are four time slots to choose from.

April 12: Zebulon Easter Egg Hunt – Open to those ages 12 and under, things start at 10 a.m. with pre-hunt activities, a meet and greet with the Easter Bunny, as well as games and arts and crafts. Participants must be present before the hunt begins at 11 a.m. at Zebulon Community Park.

April 12: Rolesville Egg Rush – The Egg Rush will take place at the Rolesville Middle School football field and will be divided into three age groups: 0-3 years old, 4-6 years old, and 7-10 years old. Eggs will be filled with candy and toys this year. There will be golden prize eggs in each age group too.

April 12: Carrboro Community Egg Hunt Celebration – The Carrboro Recreation, Parks & Cultural Resources Department will sponsor a spring celebration for children ages 2-10 years. Free activities including a Giant Egg Hunt for three age groups. Fun for the whole family!  

April 12: Easter EGGstravaganza – Come dive for Easter Eggs at Chapel Hill Community Center. At the end of the event, trade the eggs in for a special Easter-themed prize and take a photo with the Easter Bunny.

April 12: Orange County Community Egg Hunt – Enjoy egg hunts, crafts, photos with the easter bunny, inflatables and more in Hillsborough.  

April 12: Easter EGG-STREME Hunt – For ages 6 to 13, this hunt is from 8 to 9 p.m. at the Chapel Hill Community Center.

April 12: Pimento Cheese Festival – Enjoy the nation’s only festival dedicated specifically to pimento cheese. Join more than 50 food vendors at Downtown Cary Park to savor the flavor of incredibly unique pimento cheese infused dishes.

April 12: Easter Egg Hunt at Parkside Town Commons – Children 10 and under can hunt from over 20,000 Easter Eggs!

April 12: Spring Fling Festival – Bring your Easter baskets and enjoy live music, food trucks, inflatables, and a vendor market at Knightdale Station Park.

April 12: Skate Raleigh Wheel-A-Thon 2025 – Join Skate Raleigh and Leadership Raleigh for an afternoon of skating, food, hanging with friends, and raising money for better skating opportunities in Raleigh at Conlon Family Skatepark.

April 12: Tacos ‘N Taps – This all-you-can-taste beer and tequila festival takes you south of the border for foodie fun — tacos, margaritas, 80-plus beers, mariachi bands and other live music, piñata punching, contests and other surprises at Booth Amphitheatre.

April 12: Waverly Place Pop Up – This pop up market showcases a curated collection of talented local artisans, crafters, and makers, offering everything from handmade jewelry and unique home goods to art, clothing and more.

April 12-13: Nikki Glaser: Alive and Unwell Tour – For nearly two decades at sold-out tours, and as the host of three hit podcasts, Emmy®-nominated Nikki Glaser has honed her shockingly honest, no-holds barred style, solidifying herself as one of the funniest voices in comedy today. See her on stage at Memorial Hall in Raleigh.

April 13: Durham Central Park Food Truck Rodeo –  This will feature over 35 trucks with cuisines from around the world as well as local, craft drink vendors from noon to 4 p.m.

April 13: An Intimate Evening with Jagged Edge – The Grammy award-winning group will embark on their special anniversary tour, treating fans each night to classic hits from J.E. Heartbreak, like “Let’s Get Married” and “Promise,” plus more unforgettable tracks from the group’s decades-spanning discography. See them at Meymandi Concert Hall.

April 13: Hippity Hoppity Easter Egg Hunt 2025 at USA Baseball National Training Complex – Grab your Easter baskets and enjoy an egg hunt. Registration is required, and each child must be registered.

April 13: Spring Fling by Unleashed –  Spring Fling is all about having fun while raising funds for animals in need. Almost 40 local rescues will be attending and bringing adoptable dogs and cats. There will also be local vendors, live music, a bounce house, a Doggie Easter Egg Hunt, and so much more at Booth Amphitheatre.

April 13: A Place At The Table Pay-What-You-Can Food Truck Rodeo – Guests can pre-purchase meal tickets and we’ll have them ready at the ticket tent or purchase day of! Folks can also head to that link and purchase a ticket for someone else who may not be able to afford a meal or even support an entire family and their meals.

April 13: Raleigh Underground Market – This monthly series features new bands every month from Oak City Music Collective, 45 plus local vendors, food trucks, beer/wine and more at Midtown Park.

April 13: Revista Latina Children’s Day Cultural Festival 2025 – This free event will feature dance, music, art workshops and more fun at Raleigh Little Theatre from 3 to 7 p.m.

April 14-20

April 14: Disturbed: The Sickness 25th Anniversary Tour – Multi-platinum rock band Disturbed bring “The Sickness 25th Anniversary Tour” to the Lenovo Center in Raleigh.

April 14: Gareth Reynolds at Goodnights – Gareth has written for “Arrested Development,” and previous to that he wrote on Comedy Central’s “Idiotsitter” and NETFLIX’s “Flaked.”

April 15: Durham Bulls’ Education Day – This special game has a first pitch at 11:05 a.m. 

April 15: Tyler Childers: On the Road – See him on stage at Coastal Credit Union Music Park at Walnut Creek with special guest Deer Tick.

April 15: Excellent Egg Hunt at Barwell Road Community Center – There will be “eggciting” pre-hunt crafts and games. Families are invited to bring a picnic dinner. The event is free for children up to 12 years old and will take place in and around the Barwell Road playground for an added twist. Check-in will begin at 5:30 p.m .and the Egg Hunt will begin at 6:30 p.m.  

April 16: Jazz Series Shana Tucker Quarter – Renowned singer-songwriter and cellist Shana Tucker captivates audiences with her innovative blend of music known as ChamberSoul. See her on stage at Booth Amphitheatre.

April 17-19: Billy Strings – Billy Strings performsfor three nights at Koka Booth Amphitheatre in Cary. 

April 17: Hopping Down the Bunny Trail at Marsh Creek – Kids will get to fill their baskets with eggs, crafts and prizes while they stroll through the egg-cellent activity stations. Kids will also get an opportunity to get their picture taken with the bunny! This event is free for kids 12 and under – pre-registration is requested.  

April 17: Durham Bulls’ Bark in the Park – All dogs have their day at the DBAP with the return of Bark in the Park.

April 17: Candlelight Spring: Tribute to Coldplay – Discover the music of Coldplay at All Saints Chapel during this event featuring a string quartet.

April 17-19: Craig Robinson at Raleigh Improv – See “The Office” alum on stage. 

April 17: Candlelight Spring: Tribute to Queen – Discover the music of Queen at All Saints Chapel during this event featuring a string quartet.

April 18: FLO – Access All Areas North American Tour 2025 – See this British girl group on stage at The Ritz.

April 18: Let’s Sing Taylor at DPAC – Let’s Sing Taylor – A Live Band Experience – is the ultimate tribute to the music of Taylor Swift.

April 18-19: Goodguys 10th Griot’s Garage North Carolina Nationals –  Head out to the North Carolina State Fairgrounds for two days of hot rodding fun featuring more than 1,500 of the southeast’s finest 1999 and older hot rods, trucks, customs, muscle cars and classics.

April 19: Durham Bulls: Bull Sharks Night – Just when you thought it was safe, the Bull Sharks make their return to the DBAP for Bull Sharks Night. It is also Copa de la Diversion night, a celebration of Latin American and Hispanic culture with the Bulls playing as the Toros Bravos de Durham.

April 19: Bouncing Biltmore Egg Hunt – Make your own egg basket, enjoy games arts and crafts and more. You can also take a picture with the Biltmore Bunny! This is a free event.

April 19: The Flart Market at Artpost –  This market features 70 local art vendors and family-friendly fun at the Artpost.

April 19: Chicago Live in Concert – Chicago have toured every year since the beginning – they’ve never missed a year. See them at DPAC.

April 19: Breakfast with the Bunny at Biltmore Hills –  Bring the whole family to enjoy a yummy breakfast spread, crafting stations, collect a few eggs, and a chance to meet our friend the Bunny. You will also have a chance to win an egg-mazing basket in our raffle. Registration is required. Cost is $5 per person.

April 19: NC Courage vs Bay FC – The NC Courage have a home game tonight at 

First Horizon Stadium at WakeMed Soccer park.

April 19: Clayton Easter Egg Hunt – Join Clayton Parks and Recreation at Clayton High School for this hunt featuring 12,000 eggs on the main football field.

April 19: 15th Annual North Carolina ‘Cuegrass Festival & After Party – The ]Pit hosts this annual festival from noon to 6 p.m. followed by an afterparty at The Raleigh Times from 6 to 10 p.m.

April 19: Earth to Raleigh – Join Climate Action NC and RUMAH (Raleigh United Mutual Aid Hub) for the 3rd Annual Earth Day festival featuring live music, local artists, community organizations, fun activities for kids, a food truck, Clouds Brewing on tap and more.

April 19: Free Shakespeare in the Park – This all day Shakespeare festival features distilled versions of ten of the Bard’s iconic plays, with one starting every thirty minutes at Raleigh Rose Garden’s Louise “Scotty” Stephenson Amphitheater. Admission is free.

April 19: Fenton Maker’s Market – Triangle Pop Up hosts this market from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Fenton Square.

April 20: Doug Benson at Goodnights – Doug Benson is known for his popular podcasts, films and TV appearances. 

April 20: Durham Bulls: Easter Egg Shellebration – Kids run the bases before the game, plus there is a special Easter celebration.

April 21: Amos Lee at DPAC – See the singer/songwriter on stage at DPAC.

April 22: Pop Up Chorus Broadway! Musical Theater Sing-along to WICKED at Cary Theater – This is a low-pressure, high-fun event for lovers of musical theater. Conductor Sean Grier teaches two show tunes and when everyone is ready, they do a dress rehearsal, and end with a final filmed performance.

April 24: Live at the Lake concert series – This free, family-friendly concert series on the shore of Lake Raleigh returns Thursday evenings in April and May. Tray Wellington Band will perform this week 

April 24: The Fray – See the band at The Ritz.

April 24-27: Carolina Ballet presents Tchaikovsky Piano Concerto – In a reflective homage to classical ballet, Tchaikovsky Piano Concerto unfolds from a tone of gentle introspection to a triumphant crescendo, showcasing the emotional resonance of the music.

April 25-27: Biscuits & Banjos Festival – GRAMMY & Pulitzer Prize-winning artist Rhiannon Giddens’ new festival is dedicated to the celebration and exploration of Black music, art and culture in her home state of North Carolina.

April 25-26: Brewgaloo – Brewgaloo is a two-day festival featuring over 110 craft breweries from around the state with local food trucks, vendors bands.

April 25: Warren Zeiders – Relapse Tour – This concert is happening at Red Hat Amphitheater in Raleigh.

April 25: The October Nights: Calling All Lovers Tour featuring October London, Tamar Braxton, and Ro James – Get ready for an unforgettable experience as Grammy-nominated sensations October London and Tamar Braxton team up for this show at DPAC.

April 25: Earth Day 2025 at Dix Park – Join the City of Raleigh, in partnership with We Plant it Forward, for this free community event to explore earth-conscious vendors and organizations while enjoying live music, games, and activities for all ages. They will show a family-friendly movie (The Wild Robot) to conclude the event.

April 25: Christopher Titus: Doomed to Repeat – Christopher Titus is a prolific stand-up comedian, writer, actor and producer. See him at Raleigh Improv.

April 25-27: Tony Baker at Goodnights –  Tony Baker’s comedic skills has landed him on the big screen and television. See him on stage in Raleigh.

April 25-27, May 2-4: Herbfest Wake Forest – The event will feature a variety of vendors appealing to those interested in gardening, home, art, cooking and a healthy lifestyle; food trucks, and a large selection of organic herbs, organic vegetable plants and perennials.

April 26: NC Courage vs. Kansas City Current – The NC Courage have a home game tonight at  First Horizon Stadium at WakeMed Soccer park.  

April 26: Bull City Beer Mile – A 1-mile drinking race combining running and drinking. The race takes place on a 1/4-mile loop around Durham Central Park.

April 26: Spring Daze Arts and Crafts Festival – Held at Bond Park in Cary, this festival welcomes more than 170 artists from North Carolina. There are three stages of entertainment, children’s activities and more fun. Admission is free.

April 26: Zebulon Spring Fest – Spend the evening strolling Arendell Avenue visiting downtown businesses, participating in art activities, enjoying live performances, and celebrating with community members from 4 to 8 p.m.

April 26: Morrisville Earth Day Celebration – The Morrisville Environment & Stormwater Committee (MESC) is joining the Western Wake Farmers Market to celebrate Earth Day from 8 a.m. until noon on Town Hall Drive.

 April 26: Pete the Cat at Wake Forest Renaissance Center  – In this NYC-based touring production, the groovy blue cat meets The Biddles and has the whole family rocking, except for young Jimmy. Jimmy is the most organized second grader on planet earth. Before long Pete and Jimmy team up on an adventure of friendship that helps Jimmy conquer second grade art. While recommended for Pre-K to 3rd graders, this production will delight the child in all of us.

April 26: Forest Fest – This free family event in downtown Wake Forest focuses on celebrating the heart and history of Wake Forest.

April 26: Feather Fest – 3 Bluebirds Farm hosts this outdoor family-friendly event featuring inflatables and carnival games for children with the purchase of a wristband. There will also be live music. 

April 26: Apex EarthFest – This interactive festival will be held at Town Hall Campus and will include music, performances, a food truck rodeo, vendors, live animals and more fun.

April 26: Arts on the Block – Arts on the Block is a new block party for all ages hosted by Artspace celebrating the power of community and visual art. Historic City Market and Davie Street will come alive with local DJs, hands-on artist-led demonstrations, art exhibitions, make + take activities, and a special installation. Shop and eat local with 30 artisan vendors. 

April 27: Alison Krauss & Union Station Featuring Jerry Douglas – For nearly four decades, Alison Krauss & Union Station have upheld their legacy as one of the most influential and widely celebrated acts in bluegrass and roots music. See this show at Booth Amphitheatre.

April 27: Earth Day Celebration in Durham – Enjoy a day filled with earth-friendly activities, educational resources, a host of vendors, food and music at Durham Central Park from noon to 5 p.m.

April 27: Food truck rodeo in Fuquay-Varina – Enjoy live music with the band Love Tribe, a kids zone with face painting and a bounce house, and delicious offerings from a wide variety of food trucks.

April 27: Sesame Street Live – Elmo, Abby Cadabby, Cookie Monster, and their friends from Sesame Street are coming to your neighborhood to say hello! See them at DPAC.

April 27: Latin American Festival at Knightdale Station Park – There will be music, food and fun from 1 to 6 p.m. Admission is free.

April 27: Durham Community Day at Museum of Life and Science – On Durham Community Days, Durham County residents get in free with current proof of residence. All adults must have Durham residency to get in free; each adult can bring up to five children.  

April 28: Jim Henson’s Labyrinth: In Concert – Watch the full movie, as a live band performs in sync with David Bowie’s original vocals, playing the songs and score composed by Bowie and Trevor Jones. Feel the power of the music from the cult classic live at Memorial Auditorium in Raleigh.

April 29: Durham Bulls: Education Day game – A special early first pitch at 11:05 a.m.

April 29-May 4: Kimberly Akimbo – A new musical about growing up and growing old (in no particular order),  Kimberly Akimbo is the winner of five Tony Awards including best musical. See it on stage at DPAC.
