The GRAMMY Museum will present a screening of RESYNATOR, followed by a panel conversation moderated by five-time GRAMMY winner Jimmy Jam. The discussion will feature director Alison Tavel, music producer Matt Musty, Wally De Backer (Gotye), and Money Mark (Beastie Boys), who will reflect on the making of the documentary.

RESYNATOR marks the directorial debut of Alison Tavel and earned the SXSW Audience Award for Documentary Feature. The film follows Tavel’s 10-year journey to uncover a synthesizer her late father invented in the 1970s — a project that evolves into an emotional exploration of family, creativity, and legacy.

The documentary features appearances from Peter Gabriel, Fred Armisen, Jimmy Jam, Mark Ronson, Grace Potter, Money Mark, and Gotye. Its score was composed entirely using the resurrected Resynator, bringing the instrument — and its story — back to life.

In partnership with the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, the GRAMMY Museum welcomes GRAMMY nominees and 2025 Inductees Paul Rodgers and Simon Kirke of Bad Company for an intimate conversation moderated by the Rock Hall’s Vice President of Education, Jason Hanley.

Formed in London in 1973, Bad Company united members of Free, Mott the Hoople, and King Crimson to create one of the most distinctive sounds in rock history. With hits like “Can’t Get Enough,” “Feel Like Makin’ Love,” and “Shooting Star,” the band became a quintessential hard rock supergroup, selling tens of millions of records and shaping the sound of FM radio throughout the 1970s. More than five decades later, their songs continue to resonate with new audiences.

Light explores the record’s creation, the relationships that shaped it, and why its songs continue to connect with listeners nearly 50 years later. Drawing from interviews with artists and fans, he offers perspective on how Rumours has remained part of today’s music culture. The event will conclude with an audience Q&A and a book signing.

The GRAMMY Museum will present a screening of The Gits Live at RKCNDY, followed by a panel discussion moderated by Jasen Emmons with filmmaker Doug Pray, bassist Matt Dresdner, and guitarist Andy Kessler. The event will explore the story of the Seattle punk band and the legacy of their late vocalist, Mia Zapata.

Filmed in January 1993 at Seattle’s RKCNDY club for Doug Pray’s documentary HYPE!, the short captures The Gits in one of their final live performances. The restored footage offers a rare glimpse of the band during a pivotal moment in Seattle’s music scene. Led by Mia Zapata, The Gits fused punk energy with raw emotion, shaping the sound of the city’s underground. Though their time together was brief, their influence continues to echo through generations of rock and punk artists.

The GRAMMY Museum welcomes sombr for an intimate discussion about his debut album I Barely Know Her and the experiences that shaped it.

Born Shane Boose and raised on New York City’s Lower East Side, sombr began writing and producing music while studying classical performance at LaGuardia High School. His 2022 single “Caroline” marked his first viral moment, paving the way for a series of self-made tracks that found an audience far beyond his bedroom studio. Earlier this year, he released I Barely Know Her, his first full-length album, which quickly climbed global charts.

With viral songs like “back to friends,” “undressed,” and “12 to 12,” sombr has emerged as one of pop’s most streamed new artists.
