O Rush Funplex
The Rush Funplex has proposed plans for a new family entertainment center off Ward Road in the Summit Orchards West development in Lee’s Summit.

The business already has two locations in the Kansas City metro — one off Englewood Road in the Northland and the other off Shawnee Mission Parkway in Shawnee — and it also has several locations in Utah.
[–>
The business touts entertainment options like laser tag, bowling, arcades, go-karts, bumper cars and mini golf at its locations.
[–>
Documents filed with the city of Lee’s Summit in March envision the site being built in two phases, first with a roughly 77,000-square-foot entertainment center building and second with two additional buildings nearby totaling around 25,000 square feet with restaurant and office space. The development would be built on a 10-acre site just west of the Ward Road-Tudor Road intersection and the Missouri Innovation Campus.

A Rush Funplex representative didn’t respond to a request for comment about the Lee’s Summit proposal.

The entertainment center site is owned by the Maryland developer Townsend Capital.
