Cinballera Entertainment apresentará LUISA FERNANDA: ZARZUELA NA VILLA nos dias 17 e 18 de maio, às 15h, no Villa Montezuma, localizado na 1925 K Street, em San Diego. As apresentações farão parte da terceira temporada de eventos mensais de ópera da companhia no local histórico.
A produção contará com a participação de Federico Moreno Torroba Luísa Fernandauma zarzuela contra as tensões políticas da Espanha enquanto ela se move entre a monarquia e a revolução. A obra, estreada em 1932, combina canto clássico com diálogos falados e continua a ser uma das obras mais executadas do repertório da zarzuela.
Cinballera apresentará a ópera em concerto com figurinos e encenação adaptados ao ambiente intimista da Villa Montezuma. As apresentações pretendem refletir o foco da companhia na apresentação historicamente informada, ao mesmo tempo em que se envolve com a história cultural de San Diego.
A produção também marca o final da 3ª temporada da Cinballera Entertainment e se conecta à experiência inicial dos fundadores com o trabalho, já que as irmãs Tiffany e Rebekah Brannan atuaram anteriormente em Luísa Fernanda como crianças.
