One of the first major public events to be held in California since March of 2020 will be the San Mateo County Fair, which has announced its return from June 5 – June 13, 2021.
The fair plans to bring back their carnival rides, pig races, and more in a safe & responsible way and they will likely be operating at a limited capacity in early June. Outdoor events can be held in the county at 25% capacity currently. The fair’s press release did not mention the return of nightly concerts.
Masks will be required and attendees must purchase tickets for set time slots in advance. Head here for the latest info. They are the first county fair in the Bay Area to announce an official in-person return.
