“Late Night” host Seth Meyers returned from his two-week break on Monday to find that President Donald Trump had suffered a series of high-profile losses, yet chose to highlight his “perfect” cognitive tests.
“Unlike other U.S. Presidents, none of whom have ever taken an approved, high difficulty, Cognitive Test, I scored a perfect 30 out of 30, considered ‘extreme intelligence,’” Trump wrote in a Truth Social post over the weekend. “Are the Dumocrats really surprised? In fact, this is my fourth such test, all PERFECT or, 120 correct answers out of 120 questions asked!”
Meyers quickly pointed out that it is not normal for someone to undergo numerous cognitive tests a year, likening it to a police officer asking someone to take a breathalyzer test multiple times.
“First of all, it’s a dementia test, not an IQ test,” Meyers said. “And as a general rule, if you took a dementia test and you thought it was an IQ test, you failed both the dementia test and the IQ test.”
Meyers noted that it’s also not a good sign that doctors were making Trump take these dementia tests multiple times – and it’s nothing the president should be bragging about.
“This is the fundamental problem Trump has faced his whole life,” Meyers said. “He brags about stuff that you wouldn’t have to brag about if the thing you were bragging about was actually true.”
