Swedish pop star and four time Melodifestivalen contestant Dotter has released her new single, “Mr. Radio Beat”, her first single on new label Universal Music Group.

Dotter’s new era with Universal

Dotter has kicked off her new partnership with Universal Music Group by reimagining the Alexandra Stan international hit “Mr. Saxobeat”. Mixing the nostalgic dance track with contemporary production, “Mr. Radio Beat” is a feel-good anthem made for summer. The track is a tribute to the original song, while showcasing Dotter’s distinctive artistic identity and vocals.

Dotter says:

My version is about losing track of time and becoming one with the music – and with the person who makes everything else fade away. It’s that feeling of being so completely absorbed in a moment that the rest of the world disappears.

A dance-pop classic reimagined

When Romanian singer Alexandra Stan released “Mr. Saxobeat” in 2010, the song quickly became a global phenomenon. The single reached the Top 10 in more than 20 countries, topped charts across Europe, and peaked at No. 3 on the UK Singles Chart. Since then, it has accumulated hundreds of millions of streams and is still one of the most recognisable European dance hits of the 2010s. Dotter take’s the 2010 summer banger and reinvents the song for a new generation of dance-pop fans.
