WYOMING (ABC4) — After a successful ribbon-cutting ceremony on Feb. 14, the Utah-Wyoming border is officially home to Horse Palace Gateway, a new entertainment destination off of Interstate-80.
Horse Palace Gateway, Wyoming Horse Racing LLC’s new $26 million private investment, includes a 30,000-square-foot facility featuring historical horse racing terminals, off-track betting opportunities, a premium steakhouse, and live music.
The facility is said to be designed to serve travelers while supporting the regional economy and the horse racing industry.
“We look forward to welcoming visitors near and far to this entertainment destination that will strengthen regional tourism and create new economic activity in the area,” said Peter Liguori, Executive Vice President of Wyoming Horse Racing. “Gateway offers a warm welcome, Wyoming hospitality and entertainment for gaming and racing fans.”
The facility’s opening weekend began with a live performance by Gena Marie Osmond and the Diamond Rush Band. Live music will be a staple at Horse Palace gateway, with a full slate of entertainment each weekend.

“This project reflects years of planning and collaboration,” said John Sheldon, Executive Vice President of Wyoming Horse Racing. “Every element of Gateway was designed around the guest experience, from the layout to the amenities. We’re proud of the quality of the facility, and we are grateful for the business partnerships, support from local officials, and the community talent that helped bring this project to life.”
This new location marks Wyoming Horse Racing LLC’s second project, following in the footsteps of its Swan Ranch location along the Wyoming-Colorado border. According to a press release from Wyoming Horse Racing, placing entertainment centers near key border areas brings new visitor spending into the state and supports nearby businesses.
The Horse Palace Gateway is conveniently located off exit three on Interstate 80 at 755 Prospector Drive, approximately four miles from the Utah-Wyoming border.
