The holiday season will close with ringing in the New Year, and many will celebrate by watching “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve” when the ball drops over New York during a night full of music.

Lil Jon is a rapper, record producer, and was lead singer of Lil Jon & the East Side Boyz. He’s been nominated for four Grammy awards with one win for his part in Usher’s hit song “Yeah!” His most popular song might be his single with DJ Snake “Turn Down for What?” which has been streamed more than 610 million times on Spotify and its music video was streamed on YouTube 1.2 billion times. Lil Jon is from Atlanta.

Ciara
Ciara is a singer, song-writer, and dancer. She’s been nominated for five Grammy awards with one win for her part in the short-form music video of Missy Elliot’s “Lose Control.” The two also collaborated on perhaps Ciara’s most popular single “1, 2 Step” with just under 700 million streams on Spotify and over 340 million streams on the YouTube music video. Ciara is from Decatur and grew up in Riverdale.

6LACK is a singer and song-writer. He’s been nominated for six Grammy awards and won an MTV Video Music Award for his part in Normani’s “Waves.” His most popular song is his single with Lil Tjay “Calling My Phone” with over 911 million Spotify streams and 288 million streams on its YouTube music video. 6LACK was born in Baltimore and raised in east Atlanta, also known as “Zone 6” (hence the name).

T.I. (also known as T.I.P.) is a rapper, actor, and record producer. He’s been nominated for 20 Grammy awards with three wins including best rap performance by a duo or group for “Swagga Like Us,” best rap/sung collaboration for “My Love,” and best rap solo performance for “What You Know.” He also played Dave in both of the first “Ant-Man” movies. T.I. is from the Bankhead area of Atlanta.
