7 events happening in Wisconsin over Labor Day Weekend

WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAW) -Here’s a look at the 7 big events happening this weekend in Wisconsin.

Deftones at Fiserv Forum

The Grammy-award-winning band Deftones is bringing their North America Tour 2025 to Fiserve Forum in Milwaukee. The alternative band is best known for hits like ‘Change,’ Be Quiet and Drive,’ and ‘7 Words. The show starts Saturday at 7.

Taste of Madison

Bring your appetite to the state’s capital city this Saturday and Sunday. Taste of Madison returns to Capitol Square. The free non-profit event features 80 food vendors, a variety of beverage options, and live music all day.

Riverfront Jazz Festival

Admission is free at the Riverfront Jazz Festival in Stevens Point. The action is taking place at the Pfiffner Bandshell Saturday and Sunday. Musicians from all around the nation will be showcased at the annual event. Food will be available for purchase.

Jackpine Jamboree Music Festival

The Jackpine Jamboree Music Festival continues through Sunday at the Wildlife Campground in Birnamwood. The Tim O’Brien Band, Ralph Roddenberry, and Holy Locust are headlining. You can buy a pass for the whole weekend, or just one day.

Wausau Labor Day Parade

The North Central Wisconsin Labor Council will host the annual Wausau Labor Day Parade on Monday. This year, the parade will follow a new route, starting at Marathon Park and ending at the Wausau Labor Temple. The parade kicks off at 4 p.m. A family-friendly celebration will follow at the Labor Temple.

Zach Williams at the Grand Theater

You can come hangout with Christian Rock artist Zach Williams Friday at the Grand Theater in Wausau. Hear favorites like ‘Chain Breaker,’ ‘Rescue Story,’ and ‘Lookin’ for You.’ The show starts at 7 p.m.

Portage County Fair

The 99th annual Portage County Fair starts Friday and runs through Monday in Rosholt. Highlights include a parade Saturday at noon, daily live music, a demolition derby, and more. Tickets cost $10 Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Monday, admission is free.
