Rap legend Kurupt has been hospitalized as he battles “serious health issues,” according to TMZ.
The outlet reported that Kurupt, 53, has been in the hospital “for weeks.”
This comes as rapper Daz Dillinger shared a post about Kurupt on Instagram.
“GOD SAID WE SHALL LIVE & NOT DIE,” Dillinger wrote. “Want to send a big shout out to my big brother @official_kurupt get well speedy recovery. Need all FANZ to send Kurupt a get well message. Flood his Instagram tell him how much we love him. Rest in peace to my cousin, Joe, cool Nate Dogg and others that we lost so I need everybody to hit Kurupt and let them know that we love HIM from his little brother Daz. Life is serious. Shout out to @leelee_calinanita for holding it down, Dogg Pound gangstaZ 4 LIFE GOD 1st.”
There was good news in TMZ’s report as it said that its sources said that the rapper’s “health is improving and he is getting better.”
He previously noted health issues in a 2021 interview in REVOLT in which he said he quit drinking after have “two back-to-back seizures.”
Kurupt, whose real name is Ricardo Emmaneul Brown, was born in Philadelphia, but he made his name in the rap game on the West Coast. He may be best known for forming Tha Dogg Pound along with Dillinger back in 1992. They released eight albums together.
He has been called one of the greatest rappers of all-time by current star Kendrick Lamar.
