The Armed have released their latest music video for ‘Broken Mirror’ featuring Moe from Detroit punk group Prostitute.

The Armed have released a new music video for their track ‘Broken Mirror’ featuring post-punk outfit Prostitute. The track is off their latest album, The Future Is Here And Everything Needs To Be Destroyed, released last week via Sargent House.

The video was co-directed by The Armed’s own Tony Wolski and Rob Shaw and features an oppressive, surreal surveillance state point of view. The band’s performance of the song is captured in an analogue setting, with the footage overlapping, creating a dread-inducing vibe.

If you’ve ever played No One Lives Under The Lighthouse, the clip is kind of like that part of the game where you chase yourself as the monster.

You can watch the clip below.

In an interview with New Noise Magazine, Wolski described the new album as “a desperate plea against dehumanisation”, one that touches on subjects like genocide, exploitation of the poor, and toxic positivity permeating throughout culture.

‘Broken Mirror’ is one of the standout tracks from the new album, touching on class cosplayers and political hypocrites. It’s also the scariest thing I’ve heard in a long time. The nauseating ,dread-inducing synth that plays at the start of the track creates this unsettling vibe that you’re being watched.

The song inevitably explodes in energy when Prostitute singer Moe enters, his vocals duetting with another voice screeching underneath in classic The Armed fashion.

On working with Prostitute, Wolski admitted that he knew he wanted to work with them after hearing their debut album. The singer shared: “They’re new, from Dearborn, Michigan, where I live. They’re literally my favorite band,” he shared.

“We may not have a significant platform, but we do our best to help anyone we genuinely believe in. Prostitute does not need our help. They’re going to be fucking massive. It’s more so us trying to latch on to them before they fucking are playing arenas, they remember us (laughs).”
