Hannah Frances has announced a new album: Nested in Tangles arrives October 10 via Fire Talk. Frances recorded her follow-up to 2024’s Keeper of the Shepherd alongside producer Kevin Copeland, and she also enlisted Grizzly Bear’s Daniel Rossen for two songs. Watch her self-directed music video for new single “Surviving You” below.
“‘Surviving You’ is a reflection on the ways generational trauma can repeat itself when unexamined, and the ways we learn to protect ourselves through necessity,” Frances said in a press statement. “This is for anyone who grew up in a turbulent and harmful home and is learning to affirm their lived experience.”
Last month, Frances shared the song “Falling From and Further,” which also appears on Nested in Tangles. She has a bunch of shows coming up, including a number headlining dates that take place in the autumn. See Frances’ full schedule below.
