KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Kansas City Royals were able to get back to .500 after a big day from Vinnie Pasquantino against the Washington Nationals on Tuesday.
“The Pasquatch” finished the game with five RBIs, including a three-run homer to go up 4-0 in the bottom of the the third inning in the Royals 8-4 victory.

He also got the Royals on the board first with a sacrifice fly to left field, scoring Maikel Garcia in the first inning.
The Nationals knocked in two runs in the fifth and six innings on RBIs from Luis Garcia Jr. and former Royal Paul DeJong to make it 4-2.
But, Jonathan India broke the game open in the the sixth with a two-run homer to left field to go up 7-2.
Pasquantino tacked on another run in the seventh with an RBI double to right field, scoring Tyler Tolbert.
Michael Wacha (7-9) got the start for the Royals. He went 5.2 innings with five hits, two runs, three strikeouts and two walks in the win.

The Royals are back to .500 with a record of 60-60 and secured the series win. They currently sit four games out of the final Wild Card spot.
They’ll look to sweep the Nationals tomorrow at 1:10 p.m. Seth Lugo (8-6) will be on the mound against Jake Irvin (8-7).
