The Daily Mail exclusively learned that Taylor Swift’s new album, “The Life of a Showgirl,” will be about Travis Kelce. In addition, the various “Easter eggs” in her tracks will reflect her other life experiences. An insider claimed that Kelce and their blossoming romance “absolutely inspired” her forthcoming record. They reasoned that his love “has really helped her [Swift] overcome some dark chapters in her life,” and so, he will be a part of her songs in some capacity.
The Grammy winner’s new album could also contain secret nods regarding “how she overcame the drama with Blake [Lively].” Reports previously mentioned that their decade-long friendship hit a rough patch after Justin Baldoni named Swift in his legal battle with Lively. The source alleged that although the singer “is in such a good space right now,” she couldn’t “ignore all the drama.” This includes addressing “people who believed” her and Kelce’s romance was a “PR stunt.”
On Monday, Swift and Kelce announced her new album, “The Life of a Showgirl,” in a preview clip of the upcoming “New Heights” episode. During the segment, she pulled out a mint-green briefcase with her initials “T.S.” on it to show it to Jason Kelce, the podcast’s co-host. Swift then dropped the bomb, answering Jason’s curious questions, that it was indeed her “brand new album, ‘The Life of a Showgirl.’”
Swift’s new record is now available for pre-order on her official website. Moreover, fans hope to learn more about the songs in the podcast’s episode, which drops on Wednesday.
