Britney Spears was “utterly blindsided” by ex-husband Kevin Federline’s decision to write a memoir – and has “no idea” what he will discuss about their doomed marriage.
But Britney is deeply panicked that “some of the darkest times of her life” could be recounted by Federline. Former backing dancer K-Fed has signed a deal to write a memoir about his life called You Thought You Knew, which the superstar knew nothing about.
In media materials, he promises to delve deep into the “extremely intimate and transparent” details about their “highly publicized marriage.” Those sentences have “promoted deep concern that she may be about to be thrown under the bus.”
A Las Vegas business associate of Britney said, “Britney didn’t see this coming at all. She worked on her memoir to tell her version of events after feeling silenced for over a decade. That was her time to speak about her world and experiences. Kevin spoke about her to the media, and she thought that was all done.
“She has reconnected with her sons, maintained a cordial relationship with him, and now that the boys are 18, no longer pays him maintenance fees.
Britney’s memoir, The Woman In Me, offers a mixed outlook on K-Fed. She notes that the dancer provided her with enormous stability and support following her split from Justin Timberlake.
She expressed how deeply in love she was as they built on their instant chemistry. However, Britney outlined how she never knew that he had two kids with his ex-girlfriend and how, over time, “fame and power” consumed him.
She accused him of ignoring her for weeks and, at times, parenting alone while she battled postnatal depression. Britney made a series of allegations that Kevin was manipulating their split, too, and working with lawyers to ensure he would get large sums of cash and not be seen as a villain.
The Vegas source added, “It feels like this is a reach for cash by Kevin. “After all these years, he suddenly decides now is the time for a book. Britney is aware that Kevin knows many intimate aspects of her life, trouble,s and battles with mental wellness and drugs. There was a sense that she had made comments on this all in the Women In Me to put an end to others telling her story – and now this came up.”
Federline outlined that the manuscript goes deep into his personal life, “I achieved my biggest dreams, dealt with crushing heartbreak and endured constant ridicule, all while becoming the father my children needed as they experienced non-stop emotional turbulence.”
Federline, who was wed to Britney from 2004 to 2007, insisted: “If you’ve ever had questions, you’ll find answers here.” Federline took millions of dollars from his pop star ex after they divorced, thanks to court-approved payments for custody of their kids.

Oscar nominee Chu acknowledged that the Toxic star is “delicate” and “has had trauma with a lot of the subjects that are in the book.”
He said: “We are at the beginning of that process and we just want to do her right and tell the story that she deserves. “So we’ll take it step by step. I think that the way is very slow, let me put it that way, and empathetically.”
Chu revealed that dealing with the hype and fan expectation around the highly anticipated movie resembles the buzz around Wicked being turned into a film a few years ago.
Chu explained that collaborating with Spears will be the key to making the project work. He hopes Britney will be fearless in the creative process, no matter whether the movie is a flop or not.
He explained his outlook: “The only way to do that is with each other. We have to be able to. The only support we have is because nobody else outside of our circle knows the secret of what we’re doing. And I think that starts from the very beginning of saying, ‘listen, we’re going to jump out of this plane together and we’re going to have to build a parachute. And we have to be willing to actually hit the ground.’ “And once you get over that, we could fail. “But we have to do this. This is our moment.”
